We will help you determine your strengths, create a plan to develop your interests and will support your projects, as well as the application process itself.

WHAT WE DO

We usually work with high school students to prepare them for studying at the best universities and colleges. We also support younger students in choosing their high school or future subjects, especially those considering leaving for high school abroad or pursuing the IB or A level programme.
 

We gained our professional experience through over ten years of work in international educational institutions, as teachers and mentors. Our former students have undertaken and completed degrees at universities such as Cambridge, Oxford, LSE, Ivy League schools and MIT, as well as the best universities in Europe.

EDUCATIONAL PROCESS

To make a good choice and then realize your goals, it’s important to start with an evaluation of your skills and interests in our assessment process, which will help us to better advise on the next steps. We then follow on to support our students in developing their interests through individual lessons, projects and summer internships as well as other opportunities.

We offer support in preparing for future university entrance exams, including SAT, LNAT, UCAT, TMUA or ESAT. The last stage of our work is individual support in the entire process of university applications, including completing the relevant documentation and keeping the deadlines.

ASSESSMENT PROCESS

Assessment is the first step towards a great educational future.

 

  • We assess student’s academic level

  • We evaluate current level of knowledge and skills

  • We look for potential – academic and personal

  • We specify areas of interest

  • We conduct mock exams, such as SAT or LNAT

 

We offer care and support to our students. We suggest next steps and propose possible and optimal educational pathways. Together, we establish the goals to realize.

EDUCATIONAL STRATEGY

Based on our assessment process, we prepare an individual offer and plan of action, which will help to realize the student’s goals. Throughout the process, we monitor progress and adjust the plan based on the student';s needs.

 

  • Preparing a list of universities and degrees through regular discussions

  • Individual meetings with a mentor to monitor progress

  • Keeping schedule and key deadlines, including exam registration and application deadlines

  • Consultations and support with organising internships, projects and volunteering schemes

  • Monthly reports with key information

 

In our work we do not simply stick to the original strategy but rather work to follow ourstudents and adjust the plan and schedule of our work.

SUPPORT IN ACADEMIC GROWTH

Our lessons and support in individual projects or competitions will support the students in making an informed choice about their future degree and help to justify that choice in their application. At the same time, we want this stage to be fun and want to focus mainly on
helping our students develop their passions rather than simply acquire school knowledge.

  • Guidance in choosing an individual academic or artistic project, competition or publication that the student wants to work on

  • Our teachers’ support in completing the project

  • Support in preparing for competitions

  • Additional support in projects already pursued at school or with your peers

  • Preparation for entrance exams, including SAT, LNAT, ESAT (penultimate year of high school)

  • Support with day-to-day schoolwork

This stage is especially important for current high school students before their final year who are still preparing for university applications. For younger students, we offer additional lessons which will help them choose their high school and prepare for the selection process.

SUPPORT IN UNIVERSITY APPLICATIONS

This is usually the last stage of our work with students who are beginning or completing their last year of high school. Thanks to the previous work, our students know where they want to apply and have already completed or are completing their entrance exams. They also have
plenty of examples to support their interest in the chosen degree thanks to their previous projects and experiences.

 

At this stage, we mainly focus on:

  • Support in the process of writing motivational letters, personal essays or personal statements for the applications

  • Support with completing all the necessary documentation and filling out the application form

  • Keeping the deadlines, including additional deadlines for providing further documents or certificates

  • Help with contacting the universities in case of additional questions.
     

Most of our work ends when the last application is sent but we will offer our support until you commence university. We will support you in case you need to contact the universities, will help in providing the final results and will offer support if you do not meet the terms of your
conditional offer.

Working with Jan Ladziński and Maria Głowacka is a pleasure and brings effects thanks to their dedication and passion. Helping others comes naturally to them.

WHY DO WE DO IT?

We know that many young people are dreaming about studying at the best universities around the world but do not know how to evaluate their chances and begin the whole process. Often, they make up their minds too late and when lacking in preparation, they are
forced to choose universities which do not correspond to their level of ability and goals.

JAN LADZIŃSKI
Co-founder and mentor at Edify. A graduate of LSE and UCL, and an alumnus of UWC Atlantic College. He has almost 10 years of experience working as a teacher, mentor and academic adviser at Akademeia High School. Jan supported numerous of his students in the application process to world’s best universities, such as the University of Cambridge, LSE, Columbia and Brown, including scholarship applications.

MARIA GŁOWACKA

Co-founder and mentor at Edify. Maria has over 15 years of experience in the private education sector. In her work at Akademeia Tutorial and Akademeia High School she was responsible for mentoring, admissions and the extracurricular programme, as well as teaching Polish. She graduated Sociology at the University of Warsaw and Political Scienceat Collegium Civitas.
